After 20 years building a successful real estate business in Southern California — specializing in waterfront and view homes from Newport Beach to San Clemente — I chose to leave the palm trees and traffic behind in search of something different.

I explored the entire Oregon and Washington coastline, including the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound communities. In 1998, I discovered what I consider the perfect balance: Whidbey Island.

Whidbey offers something rare — a nature sanctuary with forest trails, beaches, and open skies — yet within just over an hour, you have access to Sea-Tac International Airport, world-class arts, dining, shopping, and cultural events. It truly is the best of both worlds.

And living here comes with nuances.

Each community on the island offers a distinct lifestyle — waterfront estates, view properties, equestrian acreage, village living, gated communities, and quiet rural retreats. Tides, shoreline regulations, wells, septic systems, Navy jet paths, ferry access, weather exposure, and micro-markets all require local expertise.

When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me exploring Whidbey’s beaches and forest trails with my German Shepherds, Lucy and Koda.

I’ve long been engaged in Whidbey’s civic communities and care deeply about the people, businesses, and service members who make this island unique. As a member of the Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce, I sponsor and support a variety of local events, including the Annual Arts Festival, Chocolate Walk, Pacific Northwest Plein Air, Island County Shore Stewards, and more. Investing in the vitality of our local community is something I value both personally and professionally.

I also have a strong love for animals and a special appreciation for service dogs who support military members and veterans. I’m proud to support organizations such as Project K-9 Hero, Vested Interest in K9s, and Paws of Honor, which provide protection, medical care, and retirement support for working and retired K9s.
